EMPLOYEE TRAINING & RETENTION HOW TO AFFECT ON HRM

Introduction

Employee retention is extremely crucial in the current global context. The majority of businesses are evaluated based on their turnover rate. The rate of turnover has an impact on an organization's success. Low turnover guarantees that an organization's skilled employees are retained by providing them with a superior working environment, which improves individual employee performance. A few firms with a low turnover rate, such as SAS General Mills, SC Johnson & Sons, Intel, Meridian Health, and National Instruments, have a turnover rate of 3%. It means that large international corporations are keeping their employees while assuring that they perform well (Hassan, 2013).

Why Training is Important for Organizations

Intensive competitiveness among diverse businesses has forced corporate management to strategically coordinate its human resources to meet organizational goals over the years. Given the increasing complexity of the work environment, fast organizational change, and technological improvement, among other things, the need for training and development is clear (Anis, 2011). Training and development ensure that employees have the information and skills they need to do their jobs well, take on additional responsibilities, and adjust to changing circumstances.

Relationship between training and retention rate

When a company improves its development programs, it makes employees feel more professional. They are empowered and confident in their ability to do any work that is assigned to them. The connection between management and employees is also improved by empowerment via training. As a result of all of these new advancements, the company's retention rates have grown (Weru, 2013).

Further, As a result of training and development opportunities, a positive feedback loop is established: the company's success and goal achievement rate rise as a result of better-trained workers. At employment, success promotes overall satisfaction. More commitment follows satisfaction (Al-sharafi, 2018).

Morale is the key to a company's enhanced production. Because training makes the employees feel appreciated and valued, they are more likely to have a favorable attitude toward their work, resulting in additional career opportunities. An employee with high morale looks more into going to work the next day.

Conclusion

Developing stronger staff retention is the first step in building a better organization. If the company does not continually train new employees, you won't be able to develop, enhance, or service your customers.
